Try to clarify period from/to.
I believe we have things set up so that if we have, say, two pieces
of content of length 8 the first should start at 0 and the second
at 8:
Time 0--1--2--3--4--5--6--7--8
Sample | 1| 2| 3| 4| 5| 6| 7| 8|
